You're looking at a total factory film build that's thinner than a supermodel's breakfast-sometimes as low as 100 microns for the primer, base, and clear combined. The clear coat is a high-solids masterpiece of chemistry, but it's brittle. Because the layers are so lean, these cars are prone to "road rash."
