What to Watch For

The 525 is a legend, but its clear coat can be a bit of a diva after a few decades in the sun. Keep a close eye on the "flat" surfaces-the hood, roof, and trunk-as these are the first spots where the paint tends to get a bit cloudy or start peeling. You might also see some thinning around the door handles from years of use. To find your exact match, pop the hood and look at the strut towers (the metal pillars near the engine).
