Restoration Tip

Since this is single-stage lacquer, you've actually got a chance at a miracle. Unlike modern thin factory finishes, this paint is thick enough to take a bit of a "shave." Grab a high-quality buffing compound and a machine polisher to cut through that milky oxidation layer and find the buried treasure underneath. But listen to me: It needs wax or it dies. Once you've brought that Buckskin Poly back to life, you have to seal it. Without a regular coat of carnauba or a modern sealant, the air will start eating it again by next Tuesday.
