The Buick Regal TourX is the cool, European-born wagon that tried to convince America that "long roofs" were back. While it was only here for a short time, it certainly didn't leave quietly-Buick recorded 23 different colors for this model. They really had a sense of humor at the paint factory, giving us gems like You Drive Me Grazy Pearl and Black Meet Kettle Pearl. If those are too adventurous for you, don't worry; they also leaned heavily into the "modern professional" palette with Son Of A Gun Gray Metallic and Satin Steel Gray. What to Watch For

Finding your paint code on the TourX is a bit like a scavenger hunt. While many Buicks hide theirs in the glove box or the spare tire well, the TourX (being a rebadged Opel from across the pond) often tucks its identity on a silver sticker at the bottom of the B-pillar-just open the front passenger door and look toward the bottom of the frame. Look for a code starting with "WA" or "U." Once you have your bottle, keep an eye on your roof rain gutters and side mirrors. This generation can be a bit "sensitive" in those spots, with the clear coat occasionally deciding it wants to part ways with the car. If you see a tiny flake starting near the roof line, address it now with a quick dab to seal it up.

Because many of these colors-especially the Abalone White Tricoat and Carageen Pearl-rely on heavy metallic and pearl flakes, your best friend is a vigorous 60-second shake. If you don't hear that little mixing ball rattling like a maraca, those sparkles are just sitting at the bottom of the bottle, and your touch-up won't match. When applying, don't try to "paint" a line; instead, use the very tip of the brush to dab the paint into the center of the chip and let it flow naturally to the edges. Two thin layers applied 15 minutes apart will look much smoother than one thick glob that never quite dries flat.
