About Edsel Paint

Edsels are famous classic cars from the late 1950s. When these cars were first built, they used an old-style paint that was applied in just one layer. Today, our 18 classic Edsel colors use a modern "basecoat and clearcoat" system. This new paint is much stronger than the original and keeps those iconic 1950s colors looking bright for a long time.

Application Tips

Edsel colors like "Sunset Coral" and "Ice Green" are very light and bright. To make these colors really pop, you should always start with a primer layer. When you are ready to paint, spray or brush on thin layers instead of one thick one. This prevents the paint from running or sagging. Because Edsels have a lot of chrome trim, make sure you use high-quality tape to protect the shiny parts before you begin.
