How to Find Your Fleet SpectroMaster's Color Code

Fleet is the catch all for individual color codes not associated with any brand or make, full of PPG, Axalta, Sherwin Williams, etc. If only a color code for something to be painted is available, the site can be checked; if it cannot be found, they can be notified and they will see if they can make the paint.

The Color Breakdown

The Fleet SpectroMaster lineup isn't interested in being subtle-they really went for it with "The Magnificent Seven." From the high-energy pop of Reggae Blue and Spectramaster Green to the industrial reliability of Dark Bluish Grey, these colors are designed to be seen from a mile away. Whether you're rocking the Brilliant Red or the workhorse Spectramaster Yellow, you aren't just driving a vehicle; you're driving a rolling billboard.

What to Watch For

Because these vehicles spend 99% of their lives under the sun, the biggest enemy is UV fading. If your Red or Yellow looks a little more "pastel" than it used to, don't panic-it just means the original finish has tucked in for a nap. You can usually find your specific paint code on a "Service Parts ID" sticker located on the driver-side door jamb or tucked away inside the glovebox. Keep an eye on the leading edge of the hood; fleet paint is durable, but road gravel doesn't care about brand names, and small chips can turn into peeling spots if you don't catch them early.

Driveway Repair Tip

When you're using a touch-up pen on these bold colors, remember that patience is your best friend. Pigments like those in Spectramaster Green or Brilliant Red are heavy, so shake that paint pen for a full 60 seconds-longer than you think you need to-to make sure the color is perfectly mixed. Instead of trying to fill a chip with one big glob, dab a tiny amount into the center of the scratch and let it flow to the edges. If it's a deep one, let it dry for 20 minutes and come back for a second thin layer. It's better to build a tiny mountain than to deal with a colorful canyon!
