How to Find Your 2013 Fleetwood's Color Code

The Fleetwood paint color code is obtained by contacting Fleetwood to determine the color code. If there is no color code, the alternative reference is the PPG or Dupont (Axalta) paint formula number. In practice, the search goes first to Fleetwood for a color code and, if none exists, to the PPG or Dupont (Axalta) paint formula number as the reference.

2013 Fleetwood Background Info

The 2013 Fleetwood Vibe

Welcome to 2013, the year when the Fleetwood motorhome decided it wasn't just a vehicle-it was a rolling five-star suite. Whether you were piloting a Discovery or an Excursion, the goal was "Full Body Paint" that looked like a million bucks. With 61 colors in our database for this year, Fleetwood wasn't shy about variety. We're talking about a landscape of sophisticated neutrals: Loubier Brown Metallic, Mendocino Grey, and Champagne Pearl. It was the era of the "Earth Tone Elite," where every rig looked like it was designed to blend into a high-end Sedona sunset while you sipped coffee behind a massive windshield.

Paint Health Check

We are firmly in the Thin Paint Era. By 2013, the factory robots had become masters of "efficiency," which is just corporate-speak for "we're putting on as little as possible to make it shine." You're looking at a total film thickness that would make a 1960s lacquer guy weep. The clear coat is hard but brittle. On these big rigs, the biggest enemy is "checking" or "crazing"-those tiny, spider-web micro-cracks that appear in the darker metallics like Obsidian or Mocha Metallic. The sun cooks those dark panels, the fiberglass underneath expands, and the thin clear coat eventually says, "I give up." If you see white flakes or a "dusty" look on the roof radius, that's the clear coat delaminating from the base.

Restoration Tip

Since you're dealing with "Robot Efficiency," you have to be careful. If you're touching up a rock chip on that massive front cap, remember: build layers slowly; don't blob it. Modern clear coats are designed to be thin, so if you drop a giant bead of paint in a chip, it'll never level out right and will probably pop off in a year. Use a fine-tipped brush or a toothpick to fill the crater halfway, let it dry, then come back with your clear. If you're buffing out light scratches, put the heavy-duty compound away. You don't have enough "meat" in that clear coat to go chasing deep scratches-stay conservative, or you'll be looking at the primer before lunch.
