While it might seem like they offer "50 shades of gray" with names like Magnetic, Lithium, and Real Steel, there's usually a hidden pearl or metallic flake in there that makes these colors pop when the sun hits them.

What to Watch For

Before you start, you'll find your paint code on the driver's side door jamb. Look for a sticker with "EXT PNT" followed by a two-digit code (like J7 or UG). Now, for the "Edge" specific reality check: keep a close eye on the front edge of your hood. Because many Edges feature aluminum hoods, they are prone to tiny bubbles forming under the paint near the lip. If you see a bubble, don't just paint over it-give it a gentle pick with a toothpick to remove any loose flakes first, or your fresh touch-up will just peel off with the old bubble.
