This is the era where the clear coat-the shiny protective skin-likes to lose its grip on the color underneath. The second you see a nick in that Silver Frost or Oxford White, you need to seal it immediately. Don't just dab the color; make sure you're sealing the edges where the clear coat meets the chip. This prevents air and water from creeping under the clear and starting the delamination process. If the clear has already started to lift at the edges, sand the "lip" of the peel down gently before touching it up, or you're just painting over a problem that's going to keep growing.
