The Color Breakdown

Welcome to the diverse world of the Ral All Models palette. With 15 recorded colors, this collection is like a high-speed collision between a German industrial park and a custom car show. We've got everything from the no-nonsense Fir Green (Tannengrun) and Olive Grey to the loud-and-proud Traffic Orange and Hot Rod Red. Whether your ride looks like it's ready to plow a field or win a trophy, Ral really went for it with this lineup.

What to Watch For

Since these colors often cover everything from classic imports to heavy-duty equipment, the paint has a lot of "personality." The bright reds and greens are famous for losing their punch after a few years in the sun-keep an eye out for fading or a chalky texture on the hood and roof. Also, because some of these are high-durability enamels, the paint can be a bit "soft" during application, meaning it loves to sag if you're too heavy-handed.

Finding your code can feel like a scavenger hunt. Check the driver's door jamb or the engine compartment firewall first. If it's not there, dive into the trunk or the spare tire well. You're looking for a 4-digit number (like 6029 for Mint Green) or a PPG/DBC reference code.

Driveway Repair Tip

If you're working with Gold Poly or Special Custom, you're dealing with metallic flakes that like to take a nap at the bottom of the bottle. Shake that touch-up pen or bottle for at least 60 full seconds-longer than you think you need to-to wake up those sparkles.

When applying, patience is your best tool. Instead of trying to fill a chip with one big glob, dab on a tiny, thin layer and let it dry for 15 minutes. Repeat until the chip is level with the rest of the paint. It takes longer, but it prevents the "blob" look and ensures the paint actually hardens instead of staying gummy.
