Scion iM Paint Info
The Color Breakdown
Scion gave us 11 different ways to style the iM, and they really went for it. You've got high-energy choices like Electric Storm Blue and the "look-at-me" Spring Green Metallic, but they also leaned heavily into what I call the "sophisticated silver" spectrum. If your car isn't one of the wild ones, you're likely rocking one of the many metallic greys like Mercury Gray or Sonic Titanium-it's a bit of a "50 shades of metallic" situation, but they all look sharp when they're clean.
What to Watch For
The iM is a hatchback hero, but its skin is a little sensitive. Like many Toyotas of its era, the paint can be a bit soft, making the hood a magnet for highway stone chips. If you own a Blizzard Pearl or Sonic Quartz model, pay extra attention; these tri-coat whites have a known history of wanting to part ways with the car in small sheets if a chip is left untreated. You can find your specific 3-digit color code on the sticker inside the driver's side door jamb-look for the letters "C/TR" at the bottom left.
Driveway Repair Tip
Because Scion loved their pearls and micas, your touch-up bottle is basically a tiny snow globe. To get those sparkles to lay down flat, shake that bottle for at least 60 seconds longer than you think you need to. If you're working with a Tricoat (like Blizzard Pearl), matching the depth requires patience. Don't try to fill the whole crater in one go; apply two or three "thin-as-a-whisper" layers rather than one giant blob. This keeps the repair level with the rest of the car and prevents the paint from looking like a dark spot on your finish.
