Fleet is the catch all for individual color codes not associated with any brand or make, full of PPG, Axalta, Sherwin Williams, etc. If only a color code for something to be painted is available, the site can be checked; if it cannot be found, they can be notified and they will see if they can make the paint.

About Fleet Paint

Fleet paint is made to be much tougher than the paint on a regular family car. Because these trucks and vans work in dirt and bad weather every day, the paint is designed to resist chemicals and road salt. Older models often use a thick "single-stage" paint that is easy to fix, while modern fleets use very hard clearcoats that stay shiny for a long time.

Application Tips

This paint is usually thicker and covers metal surfaces very well. When you spray or brush it on, it sticks quickly and fills in small marks easily. Because it is thick, it is best to apply several thin layers rather than one heavy one to keep the paint from sagging or running down the side of the vehicle.
